Our Mission
Southern Cross Campus, Inc. is an independent non-denominational, humanitarian, non-profit organization whose charge is to improve and enhance the quality life and dignity of children and family units promoting their independence and individuality through removing barriers to educational opportunities and services by providing a secure and nurturing environment in the United States and Internationally.
The History of
Southern Cross Campus Inc
It all began with the vision of a child whose heart was already carrying the weight of a legacy she hadn’t yet lived. At just 14 years old, in the midst of family hardship, our President and Founder, Anna Cranmer, was placed in a youth center. Most young people in that moment are simply trying to survive—but Anna was already imagining something bigger than herself. She dreamed of creating a place where children facing circumstances beyond their control could feel seen, safe, and deeply loved.
What she endured became the seed of a legacy that would outlive the pain that planted it. The compassion she carried as a child grew into a lifelong mission—one that now reaches far beyond her own story, touching the lives of young people who deserve dignity, stability, and hope. Southern Cross Campus Transitional Housing Aging Out of Foster Care 18-23 yrs stands today because a 14‑year‑old girl refused to let her hardship be the end of her story. Instead, she turned it into a legacy of healing for generations to come.
By 2009, the vision that began in her heart began to take shape. After countless presentations, delegation meetings, and years of persistence, letters of support began arriving from national leaders who recognized the depth and necessity of the mission. Their encouragement affirmed what Anna had carried since she was very young. Today with Phase 1 up and running we witness its growth to endure, and to serve generations beyond her own story.
Today, with the pandemic behind us, Southern Cross Campus Inc. is stepping boldly into its next chapter. The vision born from lived experience and compassion continues to move forward with renewed strength—bringing essential programs, stability, and hope to children and youth who deserve a future shaped by love, dignity, and possibility.
